As we approach the trade deadline the Goran Dragic potential trade scenarios are hitting over drive. Reports today had a whole variety of teams interested in his services.
Things took an interesting twist when reports out of Yahoo! Sports started to circulate about comments Dragic’s agent (Bill Duffy) made about his preferred destinations….
The Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks are among preferred destinations for Goran Dragic, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

So apparently Dragic likes big market teams, huh? Things got really interesting today when we heard even more reports that Dragic is dead set against playing for the Houston Rockets, and some of his other suitors not on his shortlist. So much so that he’s comfortable riding things out to free agency hoping he can command a max deal with either NY, LA, or Miami…
If no trade materializes, Dragic would head to free agency seeking a four-year max from Lakers or Knicks that could reach $80 million range

Earlier today there was a lot of talk of the Suns trying to do what they could to re-sign and retain Dragic. At this point there is no way that makes sense for the Suns. Once a player puts out the word on his plans publicly, the ties have been severed.
It looks like we will be dealing with ‘where will Dragic end up’ questions for at least another day or two. The February 19th trade deadline will at least give us some information as to whether or not Dragic will remain with the Suns until free agency.
