This has by far been the most injury-plagued season of Kevin Durant’s career. First it was a broken foot, then a bad ankle. Following the all-star break, he sat out OKC’s first game with a sore right foot. As it turns out, he had another procedure performed on the same foot to alleviate some discomfort.
Kevin Durant underwent a minor procedure to help reduce pain and discomfort in his surgically repaired right foot, according to Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti.
Durant will be re-evaluated in a week. The expectation is he will return to play in the regular season.
“There’s no new injury that’s been created,” Presti said. “It’s just a matter of discomfort.”
