Kevin Garnett earned a “fake tough guy” label throughout the NBA and that act continued last night after he decided to headbutt Dwight Howard, then carry on as if he truly wanted to fight once a bunch of people were in between the two of them.
For his role, KG has been suspended one game and Dwight has been fined $15,000.
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett has been suspended one game without pay for initiating an altercation with Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard and headbutting him. Howard was fined $15,000 for pushing Garnett in the neck area. The penalties were announced Tuesday by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations.
