That new weekend sneaker release you’re looking forward to isn’t that new. It in all probability has been planned between 12-and-18 months ago. Which explains why Paul George has a Player Edition colorway of the Hyperdunk 2014 out.
Without ever playing a single NBA game this season in the 2014 Hyperdunk because of injury sustained during a Team USA scrimmage, Nike gave Paul George a Pacers-themed colorway of the Lunarlon foam-based shoe.
An early version of Paul George’s new “PG13” logo can be seen on the tongue. This is the same logo that was seen on very early images of the 2015 Hyperrev when many believed that upcoming silhouette to be the signature sneaker George is rumored to have coming out next year.
The ‘Paul George’ edition of the Nike Hyperdunk 2014 is available on the Nike webstore and select retailers around the US now for $150.
