After deciding last August to leave the NBA and take his talents to China—the former Lakers forward and NBA champion was quite excited to start a new chapter in his basketball career. He played for the Sichuan Blue Whales this season and averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 15 games before being replaced just a few days ago by former Thunder guard, Daniel Orton—due to a recurring knee injury.
So now, World Peace’s services are available once again and it looks like the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) may be his next destination, according to his recent tweets..

World Peace in Manila? That’ll surely be fun to see.
If this does become official, the basketball-crazy fans of the Philippines will surely be more than happy to see him step on their home floor and showcase not only his skills, but also his ‘colorful’ reputation as a former player in the NBA. And even post-NBA he has been colorful. Remember the Panda shoes? I wonder if they will make the trip to the Philippines?
