Sneakerheads of all ages have been clamoring for years on the internet that Nike Inc step in and replace the Jumpman on Air Jordans like the pairs of yesteryear (1999). This is a great example of wishing things into fruition Jordan Brand has been doing just that with several classic silhouettes; the Air Jordan 1 is getting a new one.
A black leather upper features black textured panels to compliment the monochromatic colorway well. The light shade of brown used on the gumsole can also be seen on both Nike Air branding points on the tongue tag and printed on the footbed of the sneaker.
What sets the ‘OG High’ edition of the Air Jordan 1 apart from all the other versions of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker, which has been steadily releasing throughout the years, is the shoe’s ankle collar height and the return to the original Nike branding throughout.
The ‘Black/Gum’ colorway of the Air Jordan 1 OG High releases on December 6th on the Nike webstore and in select retail stores for $140.
