We all know the Los Angeles Lakers are in a grim situation right now—having only won 1 out of their first 10 games of the season. I guess the best thing for them to do now is to look towards the future already—specifically finding help for Kobe Bryant next season.
But, it looks like Oklahoma City Thunder point guard, Russell Westbrook has no intentions of wearing the purple and gold jersey anytime soon or never at all.
Last night, as the injured Westbrook watched his team’s 69-65 loss to the Houston Rockets—an anonymous Laker fan suddenly yelled at him to basically come join Lakers, and his response was clearly a big NO.
From Darnell Mayberry of the Oklahoman:
Lakers fan six rows behind the scorer's table screams at Westbrook: "Russ, come to L.A.!!" Russ starts shaking his head no.

Fan: "You can shoot all you want. Come to L.A. We got rings."
Westbrook: "Get yo ass out of here and go back to L.A."

This is not even worth discussing right now, since Westbrook is still under contract with the Thunder for exactly 31 more months and the likelihood of him joining the Lakers looks to be almost impossible as of now.
That said a lot of changes are needed with the Lakers to be able to attract and quickly find the successor of Bryant as the next face of the purple and gold. The time does start now for the Lakers.
