With Kevin Durant already sidelined around six to eight weeks, more bad news fell on the Oklahoma City Thunder as their other superstar Russell Westbrook may possibly be missing significant time after injuring his right hand in Thursday night’s game versus the Clippers.
It was midway through the second quarter when Westbrook accidentally banged his hand on teammate Kendrick Perkins’ elbow while both were attempting to grab a rebound. He immediately exited to the locker room for evaluation and was officially ruled out of the game. Then later on, head coach Scott Brooks revealed that there’s a small fracture in his right hand, and is expected to miss four to six weeks of action.
From Darnell Mayberry of the Oklahoman:

Now with the all-star guard joining the injury list that consists of Durant (broken foot), Morrow (sprained knee), Jackson (ankle), Lamb (back strain), and McGary (broken foot). The Thunder will have to somehow find a way to win and play without their superstar duo. It’ll be a huge task to fill in this void as the team greatly relies on both their superstars in their set and fast break offense.
Clearly right now, the Thunder are in deep trouble, and the question is—who will step up and lead the Thunder?
