Steve Nash’s addition to the Lakers a few years ago was supposed to make the contenders again. But because of his age and injuries, the move has done anything but. We’ve witnessed the future hall of famer’s body break down right before our very eyes.
Many felt as if it was time for him to hang it up. In fact, some think he’s only playing this season so that he didn’t leave nearly $10 million on the table. But Nash says he may go beyond just this year. We shall see.
“Because it’s so tenuous, I never act like I’m ready to go and am past everything,” Nash said. “I’ve gone through too much to feel that way, but I feel good.”
Hence, Nash may prolong his NBA career once his $9.8 million contract with the Lakers expires after this season. That decision hinges on a few variables. […] “My health, enjoyment and effectiveness,” Nash said. “If I have a chance to play, it would have to be here. I’m not going to at this stage move somewhere else for a season and move my kids there.”
