Paul George has been cleared to put weight on his injured leg and return to the weight room. That’s a remarkable feat considering what he went through not that long ago.
He’s expected to make a full recovery and as gruesome as this injury was, it was probably better than an ACL tear which sometimes doesn’t look bad at all. Easy for me to say.
To that end, George feels that he may be able to return this season. Provided the Pacers get into the playoffs (which is up in the air now with the loss of George and Stephenson), Paul says he may be back.
“It’s very possible that I can play (this season),” George said. “I’ve talked to all the guys and said, ‘Man, you guys have to get in the playoffs. That’s the best chance I’ve got of coming back and playing this year.’ I’ve already got it in mind that I could miss this whole year. I’m come to peace with that, but I’d love to be able to come back and play again.”
