In this league, not much has to happen in order for you to fall out of the graces of other players and fans. Deron Williams can speak to that. Since joining the Nets a few years ago, Williams has all but exited the “Best PG in the league” conversation, and he’s fully aware of that. But according to him, he has his swagger back and is ready to prove people wrong.
“Everybody’s pretty much written me off,” Williams told the team’s official website. “People say I’m never gonna be like I once was. I’m on the downhill. And so what pressure do I have?”
“I’m just playing, man,” Williams said Tuesday. “I can actually play. I can actually run, cut, jump, so it’s different.”
