Injuries during training camp and preseason are tough to deal with. The same can be said for a broken nose. While it’s manageable, it certainly makes for uncomfortable breathing on the court. And if you have to wear a mask, forget about it.
The Golden State Warriors’ Andre Iguodala will soon have to find out as he suffered a broken nose. He plans on playing through it and may wear a mask.
The damage was caused when Lakers forward Roscoe Smith took a jumper at the halftime buzzer and his arm came down on Iguodala’s nose.
“I guess he doesn’t hold his follow-through, dude came down on my nose,” said Iguodala, who remained on the bench for the second half.
Though coach Steve Kerr indicated Iguodala will be able to play through the injury, perhaps wearing a mask, Iguodala said that probably would not be necessary.
“I put it back (in place),” Iguodala explained, saying the break was toward the end of the nose. “I’ll play Sunday. We’ll figure it out. It ain’t nothing big, nothing major.”
