Four years ago, Dan Gilbert wrote a letter to the Cavs’ fan base to express his displeasure with LeBron leaving the Cavaliers. Ironically, the letter was finally taken down from the team website just a few days ago. This letter is why many felt that LeBron would not return to Cleveland because it was disrespectful.
According to reports, LeBron is still upset by that letter and may be contributing to his delay. Hard to blame him.
One reason, if not the major reason, that LeBron James has taken so long to decide whether to play in Miami or Cleveland next season is the infamous letter Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert penned about James after the superstar left Cleveland in 2010, sources said.
“If it wasn’t for that letter, this would’ve been done awhile ago,” one source said.
