Yesterday in a loss to Phoenix, Kevin Durant scored 25 or more points for the 41st game in a row. In doing so, he surpassed Michael Jordan (40) for 3rd all-time in this not-that-important-but-cool-to-talk-about stat. In case you’re wondering, Wilt Chamberlain is first with 80.
After the game, Durant was asked about the streak and as you can imagine, he’s over it already. He’s no doubt focused on something else down the road. NBA Playoffs, and winning a CHIP.
Durant on passing Michael Jordan's streak of 40 straight 25-point games: "I don't really care about it. I wish it was over."

That sounds cliche and something he’s supposed to say, but coming from Durant that sounds 100% believable.
