As good of an offensive player as he is, it’s a wonder that Jamal Crawford has been something of a journeyman who has played for more than 10 coaches. Despite that, he certainly plays a critical role for the Clippers coming off the bench.
Crawford will reportedly be named NBA Sixth Man of the Year for the second time in his career. He won the award a few years ago in Atlanta. Well deserved, although many thought Nick Young had a shot.
Crawford, 34, won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2010 as a member of the Hawks. A second win would tie him for the most in the award’s history, as Crawford would join Kevin McHale, Detlef Schrempf and Ricky Pierce as the only two-time winners.
