Since the Easter holiday is only a couple of weeks away, Nike is ready to lace their flagship players like Kevin Durant and LeBron James with new coloways of their signature sneakers.
Nothing new on the ‘Easter’ KD VI as far as performance features go. The colorway inspiration comes from the Easter egg hunt with its camouflage graphic on the upper.
The ‘Easter’ LeBron 11 Low is not just a low top version of the standard LeBron 11, but new silhouette features a full-length Max Air bag underneath the entire shoe with specific articulation grooves on the bottom to help with flexibility. To tie into the holiday, the white upper symbolizes the ‘Sunday best’ style of dressing which usually goes on and the paisley pattern inspired by Miami’s palm trees.
Even with Kobe Bryant not playing with the Los Angeles Lakers on Easter this year, he will have a themed sneaker for the holiday. The Kobe 9 EM – ‘Easter’ features a upper made from Engineered Mesh and a much lower cut; different than the Flyknit-constructed Kobe 9 Elite. Dying mull-colored eggs was the inspiration for the colorway seen on this shoe.
All three sneakers from the 2014 Nike Basketball ‘Easter’ collection release on April 18th on the Nike webstore as well as popular retailers around the world.
