Ignoring the sickly-looking ankles and elastic foot-collar on the pants, check out the upcoming Jordan Future sneaker.
With direct inspiration from the Air Jordan XI (11), the Jordan Future takes the Jordan Retro silhouette and reconstructs the upper with a reflect, woven material. The bottom from the Jordan 11 remains the same by using the midsole & outsole from Michael Jordan’s 1996 signature sneaker. Despite being designed more for casual wear than on-court performance, the Jordan Future great has hooping sneaker features like a asymmetrical lacing system and wax laces.
The Jordan Future release has an initial two colorways seen here both with a black woven upper. One has an infrared outsole and the other has a glow-in-the-dark bottom that looks milky white in regular light settings.
If the upper of the Jordan Future is any indication of the actual future of Jordan Brand sneakers then I am looking forward to what is coming.
The first two colorways shown above of the Jordan Future releases on March 15th for $185 at the Flight 23 store in NYC as well as some select stores around the country.
