Watch: Stephon Marbury Ejected For Fighting In CBL Game

marbury ejection rt floatIn case you missed it, 2 time NBA All Star Stephon Marbury has been hooping it up at an elite level in China these days, earning 4 more All Star nods and winning a Championship with the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball League.

His career has taken new heights oversees and has arguably been the CBL’s most valuable player the last 4 years but cannot officially win the award since it is only handed out to non-American born players.

Even fans in China consider the now 36 year old baller a basketball god, as just last year they started a petition to build Marbury a statue holding the trophy.

Stephon has had a rough go of things so far this season as he has missed more than 2 months due to injury but returned to action recently against Shandong.

Late in the game and as tempers flared Marbary gets into a scuffle with a much larger opposing player and appears to throw a punch in the player’s direction.  Although the punch didn’t connect, Marbury was given his 2nd technical of the night and and was ejected as fans threw bottles on the court.

But according to Chinese site Beijing Cream, the action didn’t end their as lost in the shuffle of the Ducks winning the game 99-95, Marbury’s trainer got in a scuffle with former NBA player and Florida standout Donnell Harvey of Shandong, and met after the game to “exchange knuckle sandwiches.”

An eye witness allegedly saw Marbury’s interpreter get punched in the face during the scuffle and fans lit flares and tried to barracade Shandong’s bus from leaving the arena.

Hope the money is good Stephon….
