The Thunder just got back Russell Westbrook and were at full-strength for the first time in a long time. That was short-lived, however. They will now have to survive without Kendrick Perkins who will miss six weeks due to a groing strain. He actually already underwent successful surgery.
Perk has started all but 3 games this year for OKC, so let’s see how they manage.
The six week timetable puts Perk returning right at the end of the regular season. A little scary for a contender, but it’s also a big opportunity for Adams.
The Thunder are 0-3 in games this season without Perkins.
Perkins, 29, is averaging 3.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in 54 games this season.
