A few days ago, it seemed likely that Caron Butler was make a return trip to Miami and sign with the Heat after being bought out in Miami. He was reportedly considering, the Heat, Thunder, Clippers and Spurs. Today, he made his decision to head to OKC.
This a good pick up for the Thunder. Butler could be a valuable contributor come playoff time and would be a nice spark off the bench.
According to Yahoo Sports, recently waived Caron Butler has agreed to sign with the Thunder once he clears waivers this weekend.
Butler, 33, was bought out by the Bucks on Thursday.
The Thunder have two open roster spots available and about $2.3 million in cash to spend under the tax line, though terms of the deal are unknown.
