The OKC Thunder have been playing very well since losing Russell Westbrook to a knee injury. That’s only more encouraging for when they actually get him back. You can credit Kevin Durant playing out of his mind and perhaps coach Scott Brooks making some key adjustments without Russ.
For his work, Brooks has be rewarded with the privelege of coaching the Western Conference in the All-Star Game in a few weeks in New Orleans.
Oklahoma City Head Coach Scott Brooks and his coaching staff will guide the Western Conference All-Stars during the 2014 All-Star game, the NBA announced today.
Brooks and his staff clinched All-Star coaching honors after the Thunder secured the best record in the Western Conference through games played on Feb. 2.
Winners of their last eight games, Brooks has guided the Thunder to its best start in the Oklahoma City era (36-10). Through the first three months of the season, the Thunder has already strung together three win-streaks of eight or more games.
