In today’s sporting world, it has almost become commonplace to hear of an athlete being out with a torn ACL. The Denver Nuggets know all about that as Danilo Gallinari will be out all season with one of his own.
Nate Robinson is next up. Although it’s not a tear, NateRob may be out with a sprained ACL. Certainly could be worse.
Denver Nuggets guard Nate Robinson has been ruled out of Friday’s game against the Toronto Raptors after an MRI Thursday revealed a sprained anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Robinson, averaging 10.4 points and 2.5 assists in 44 games this season, will be evaluated again Friday to determine a course of treatment.
Robinson was injured midway through the first quarter of Denver’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday. He was making his first start of the season in place of injured point guard Ty Lawson.
Lawson, the team’s leader in scoring and assists, is recovering from a strained left rotator cuff. He is listed as a game-time decision against the Raptors.
