Along with being into his 11th NBA season, Carmelo Anthony is about to reach another milestone with his 10th shoe with Jordan Brand. Here we have an official look at the Jordan Melo M10, Carmelo Anthony’s tenth Jordan sneaker.
Using the Flight Plate debuted on the Air Jordan XX8 last year and used on the Air Jordan XX8 SE & Jordan Super.Fly 2, the upcoming Melo 10 has very similar midsole tooling to the most recent Air Jordan. A nubuck leather upper is used which brings on a very lux-feeling shoe in comparison to all the plastic-feeling synthetic materials currently popular in basketball sneakers.
Detailing further showcasing Carmelo’s lineage with the brand the metallic heel counter uses the Melo script logo that debuted on Anthony’s first pair of signature Jordan sneakers.
Since the current Jordan Melo M9 debuted during Christmas 2012 but the previous Melo M8 Advance was worn frequently by Anthony, this will be the second consecutive time that Carmelo would wear three different Jordan Melo sneakers all in the same calendar year.
Carmelo Anthony is the third active Jordan Brand athlete in any sport to celebrate 10 years of having a Michael Jordan sneaker endorsement alongside Ray Allen and Derek Jeter.
The Black/Dark Powder Blue colorway of the Jordan Melo M10 releases on January 4, 2014 for $165 with more colorways to follow.
