Last week, news broke that Karl Malone will return to the Utah Jazz in a quasi-assistant role, where he will be working with the Jazz big men. Now, it appears as if perhaps Jerry Sloan has interest in returning to the club too.
Since leaving the Jazz a few years ago, Sloan has expressed interesting in coaching again and has even interviewed with teams. If he does return to Utah, it’s uncertain in what capacity.
The Utah Jazz have had a preliminary discussion with Sloan about returning to the fold in an unspecified position.
Twenty-eight months after resigning from being the Jazz’s head coach, the Hall of Famer is open to considering taking a role with his old organization to help the rebuilding franchise and his successor, Tyrone Corbin.
