The Hoop Doctors last month celebrated our 5 year anniversary, and we are happy to report that our readership has once again grown substantially over the past NBA season. For that we have all of you reading the site to thank. We are very grateful for your time in visiting the site and reading our content, but we are also grateful for all of your facebook likes, shares, tweets, google+ shares, etc. that help spread the word on various stories. THD now boasts over 1.5 million monthly page views, 5300 newsletter subscribers, 18000 facebook fans, 3000 twitter followers, and more.
But with this increase in readership and community, comes an increasing demand for high quality NBA news, blogs, and video, and to pump it out faster and faster. Therefore we need some more help. We are looking to bring on board some more quality writers, and possibly even an intern to learn the ins and outs of the NBA publishing business.
What we are looking for in a rotation writer or intern:
- Aspiring Sports Journalists or Bloggers
- Ability to write clear, grammatically correct, entertaining, and knowledgeable NBA blogs and news articles
- Social Media Saavy (understanding of community building and management on various social media sites)
- Basic understanding of wordpress, html, adobe photoshop
- Willing to commit 2-3 hours per day (Mon-Fri) working on creating site content and social media marketing
- Confident to interview NBA players as necessary on various issues
What you would gain from these positions?
