For those of you that frown upon anointing greatness upon a still up-and-coming amateur baller, while they are not yet a finished product in high school, one might change their opinion upon watching the most recent highlights from South Carolina freshman sensation Seventh Woods.
The still only 14 year old elite level prospect has been turning heads since middle school, when he once dunked in an AAU game back in 2010 as a wiry 5’11, 11 year old.
Although he has grown only a few inches to stand at 6’2 today, Woods is throwing down highlight reel dunks that would make even NBA superstar Lebron James smile, as the freshman at Hammond HS in South Carolina already has a reported measured 38 inch vertical leap.
But he’s not just a powerful dunker, as he averaged 19.3 ppg, and is also known for his lockdown defense for a 22-5 squad last season. As a result, he’ s already being recruited by a plethora of high major NCAA programs and has received an invite to try out for the Team USA 16U squad this Summer.
Just in case you haven’t yet heard of the 14 year old combo guard, that happens to be the #2 rated HS prospect in the 2016 Class, that many feel has as much potential as any player to make an instant impact on both the collegiate and professional levels in a few years, check out his new freshman season mixtape, that even though it just went viral a few days ago, has already received nearly 2 million views to date…..
