Steph Curry Just One Three Away from Single Season NBA Record

Stephen Curry is on a torrid pace the last few games of the season in efforts to break the NBA’s single season record for most three pointers. The record is currently held by Ray Allen, back with the Supersonics in 2006. Curry is now just one three pointer shy of the record.

Curry hit seven three-pointers during the Golden State Warriors’ 116-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs, bringing his total to 268 makes for the 2012-13 season. That number is one shy of Ray Allen’s single-season record of 269, set with the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2005-06 season.

With just one game left on the season set for Wednesday against the Portland Trailblazers, it is almost a sure thing that Curry will set the record.

But maybe even more amazing than the single season record Curry will likely attain, is the pace at which he is connecting from three for his career. Ray Allen is the all-time leading three point shooter in NBA history, but Curry is outpacing Allen by a decent margin, and if he remains healthy may one day break Allen’s mark.

**But he’s not just one dimensional. Just out this shake and bake move last night against the Spurs. Nasty.
