SNEAK-A-PEEK: adidas D Rose 4, D Rose Englewood, & Rose 773 II

Basketball sneakers are generally planned up to 18 months ahead of release schedule to do wear/testing to work out as many problems with the shoe as possible before it hits store shelves. Knowing that piece of info helps to understand why we were able to get not only the line drawing & colorway list for the upcoming adidas Rose 4, but also see two samples pairs.

This is one of those posts that speak for itself but it is worth it to walk readers thru what they are seeing. At the top of this post there is a picture of what is likely to be both the ‘Home’ adidas Rose 4 and the ‘Away’ adidas Rose 4 displayed facing different directions.

The image below (best viewed opened in a new tab) are line drawings of both the adidas Rose 4 signature sneaker and adidas Rose 773 II team sneaker in what is likely to be most of the colorways of each sneaker. What was believed to be a adidas Rose 3.5 Low is shown here in line drawing form called the D Rose Englewood in four different colorways.

Focusing on the Rose 4, half the colorways look to be Chicago Bulls-uniform friendly which but the inspiration for the other four aren’t as obvious. The only Rose 4 colorway that I feel comfortable reporting on besides the black/red/white ones is the pair labeled RUNNING WHITE FTW/TECH BEIGE since that is likely the St. Patricks Day pair.

Having four Bulls colorways is good thing since next season is the likely time Derrick Rose will make his return to NBA action and even more likely is that he will come back wearing this sneaker.

Pictures were smudged to protect the innocent.
