San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich and his scouting staff has become known for their scouting prowess in most NBA circles. Although their biggest strength is finding a diamond in the rough, they can also appreciate a well known talent when they see one. In this particular case, yesterday Gregg Popovich was admiring the shooting talent of Warriors Steph Curry. Coming off the Warriors franchise record shooting efficiency for a playoff game, Curry and Thompson’s shooting abilities have been the talk of the playoffs.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich likened watching @ StephenCurry30 shoot to watching Michael Jordan play.

I would have to agree with Pops clever comparison. However, the bigger question now presents itself. Why is Popovich talking to the media about a player on another team in a totally different series? He’s either looking ahead already figuring the Lakers are cooked, and/or he’s thinking ahead to a potential acquisition of Curry some day? Hey, a coach can dream can’t he?
