Kevin Durant is the feature of the latest Sports Illustrated cover and he has a message for everyone: He’s tired of being second. KD has said this before, but now he’s going public.
Durant is the second-best player in the NBA, was drafted second overall, and finished second in the Finals last year. But that’s just the tip of it. His run at being second goes further than just that, as he explains in SI.
Unfortunately for him, the way things are looking right now, he may finish second in the MVP race again this year. It is yet to be seen if his OKC Thunder will finish second to Miami again. His streak may continue. Or maybe Durant will prove he truly has had enough….
