“Kyrie Irving” and “injury” are becoming far too commonplace. Irving is already a top 5 PG arguably, but he just can’t stay healthy. He’s now out 3-4 weeks with a bad shoulder. Cleveland may as well shut him down for the remainder of the year. Let’s just hope this doesn’t become a theme for his career.
Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving experienced a left shoulder injury during the third quarter of last night’s game against the Raptors in Toronto. X-rays taken at the Air Canada Centre were negative. He was reevaluated today at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health where he received an MRI and physical exam by Cavaliers Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker which revealed a Left AC (acromioclavicular) sprain. Irving will undergo a period of rest and treatment and is currently projected to be OUT three to four weeks.
