While a good percentage of basketball attention has shifted over to NCAA players, in April it will be the high school players chance to shine during the 2013 Jordan Brand Classic.
There are a few All-American basketball games every year for the top high school hoopers but none carry the name of one of the greatest basketball players of all time the way the Jordan Brand Classic does. One of the biggest things that these teenagers look forward to are the free product from the sponsors which brings two Player Exclusive pairs of the new Air Jordan XX8.
With colorways divided by team, the 2013 JBC West team are going to wear the red/gold Jordan XX8 leaving the Jordan Brand Classic East team to lace up the pair with a black upper and gold accents. No official word yet on if these will hit stores, but I predict a limited release within a week of the game.
The entire 2013 Jordan Brand Classic event will start off with an International Game & New York Regional Game before the 12th annual All-American Game before ending with a Drake performance all at the Barclays Center on April 13th.
