Kobe Wishes LeBron Talked More Trash on the Court

In case you haven’t noticed, Kobe Bryant has no filter these days. Absolutely none. He says whatever to whoever and worries about the consequences later. He’s not afraid to call out teammates, whether they’re current or former. He just simply doesn’t care to say what’s on his mind.

One of those things on his mind recently was the state of trash talking in the NBA. In particular, he wishes LeBron responded to his trash talk.

The camaraderie of today’s NBA players, fueled, in part, by their AAU alliances, is mildly disturbing to Bryant, who preferred it when the enemy was anyone who didn’t ride the team bus with you to the game. ‘They don’t seem to want to talk any trash,’ Kobe shrugged. ‘I say everything to LeBron. He says nothing back. He just laughs. There’s no banter back and forth. I guess it’s a generational thing. When I first came into the league, the trash talk was downright cutthroat.’
