For the last few years now, the lunar Chinese calendar has served as the inspiration for some of the best sneaker colorways ever so its no wonder that the upcoming Jordan Brand ‘Year Of The Snake’ pack has been getting so much love.
On the ‘Year of the Snake’ Jordan I, multi-colored patent leather is used throughout the shoe in a design which simulates the effects of temperature change. The wavy design on the Melo M9 is similar to the print used on the ‘Weatherman’ KD IVs and comes from the almost sixth-sense about body temperature that snakes are said to have. All of this packaged into one big, blue box with an oriental design along the entire inside & accompanying paper.
A lot of colors with very specific names went into making both of these sneakers including Blacken Blue, Bright Citrus, Hyper Red, Raspberry Redd, Deep Royal, and the ever-popular bright Volt.
The entire package of the Jordan Melo M9 and Jordan 1 High will hit retail store shelves on February 9th and cost $280.
