Typically, the MVP of the all-star game is a scoring wingman who roams the perimeters and fills up the points column. But last night was a bit different.
From the onset, Chris Paul was facilitating and looking for his West teammates. Before you knew it, he ended up with 15 assists – many of which were alley-oops to his Clipper teammate Blake Griffin. And for good measure, CP3 tossed in 20 points as well.
Chris Paul took home the MVP trophy from the 2013 All-Star game, as he led the West to a 143-138 win in the NBA’s midseason exhibition, and did so in a contest that was close and competitive down the stretch.
The award often times goes to the player who scores the most points on the winning team, but that wasn’t the case in this one.
