The recovery process of Derrick Rose thankfully hasn’t stopped adidas from continuing with the release of colorways of the adidas Rose 3 sneaker and the latest pair to drop pays tribute to Derrick Rose’s mother, Brenda.
Similar to last season’s adiZero Rose 2.5 with the same inspiration, the adidas Rose 3 ‘Brenda’ features a high-quality red nubuck upper. The crackled, grainy finish used on this sneaker is said to be in reference to the upbringing that Derrick received growing up in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. A nice personal touch in this sneaker is the Roe family tree seen on the inside of tongue of both sneakers. Derrick Rose’s signature is also lasered on the on the right with BRENDA on the left.
This is the pair that Derrick Rose wore during the 2012 NBA Media Day which leads me to believe that when he comes back, this will be the pair he wears this season first.
