Bulls Extend Tom Thibodeau 4 Years

This was a no-brainer, even though it didn’t happen as soon as many would’ve thought. Tom Thibodaeu has been nothing short of great since becoming the Bulls head coach. He deserved this extension and should still lead a competitive bunch even without Derrick Rose.

The Chicago Bulls have given coach Tom Thibodeau a four-year contract extension through the 2016-17 season.

General manager Gar Forman announced the move Monday. The Bulls had exercised the team’s option for next season this past spring. The new deal takes effect after this season.

Thibodeau was the NBA’s Coach of the Year for the 2010-11 season and the runner-up last season.
