If you are like me, you never get tired of seeing all 5’7 of Baltimore native Aquille Carr dunking on an opponent or adding them to his latest highlight reel. After all, he reminds many of a young Nate Robinson combined with the scoring proficiency of Allen Iverson.
Even for those that aren’t yet familiar with the pint sized offensive dynamo, fans of Big East basketball will soon find out as Carr will arrive on campus of New Jersey’s Seton Hall University for the ’13-’14 season. Carr is the #78 ranked prospect in the 2013 recruiting Class but has potential as an immediate fan favorite and impact player at the point guard position.
Nicknamed “The Crimestopper” in B-More, because when he plays a high school game everyone is in the gym and off the streets taking notice, Carr was one of the elite prospects invited to the 2012 Reebok Breakout Challenge in Philly along with Allerick Freeman and the highly touted Harrison twins. Aquille is known for having the best handles of any player in the HS ranks and once scored 58 points in a game as a sophomore.
In spite of his rather diminutive size that makes him look like a Middle School-er in the game, he continues to go by and score over any and every opponent in his path to the rim. He even took some time to break some ankles in front of celebrity camper John Wall….
