With the core of the team returning, as well as their head coach, the OKC Thunder should be set up nicely to make many more runs in the future.
Brooks’ agent, Warren LeGarie, told SI.com that the deal is agreed on for four years and approximately $4 million per year. He acknowledged that the negotiations weren’t always smooth, and that the notion of the deal not getting done seemed entirely possible during the process. With Portland and Orlando having head coaching vacancies, the odds of Brooks becoming a candidate for those positions increased the longer the talks continued.
