Erik Spoelstra received criticism following game 5’s loss to the Celtics and rightfully so. He had a healthy Chris Bosh on his roster and he played only 12 minutes. If nothing else, Bosh would’ve help stretch the floor on defense and get KG away from the rim where he altered shots all night. When asked after the game why Bosh didn’t play many minutes, Spoelstra said he didn’t think it would “fair” to Bosh. That’s pretty ridiculous.
“I’m still going through that thought process,” Spoelstra said after the Heat wrapped up practice in Miami before traveling to Boston. “But I think he’ll be able to handle a bigger load of minutes, and it’ll be based more on how he’ll feel during the game.”
