THD’s 25 Best Dunks of All-Time: #4 Kobe Bryant Proves to be Superman’s Kryptonite

Our countdown of the ’25 Best Dunks of All-time’ Sponsored by NBA.com/Dunk continues.

Long before fans knew Dwight Howard as “Superman,” Kobe Bryant welcomed the rookie to the NBA by putting him on his poster. At least this happened in Howard’s rookie season. Now that he is the best defensive player in the league, getting dunked on like this would really be embarrassing.

It also made me feel nostalgic to see Kobe dunking like this, sporting the old #8 uni.

As Kobe drives to the hoop, Howard slides over and puts his hands straight in the air (he probably closed his eyes. I really can’t see them though) and hopes Kobe forgot how to jump. Kobe then proceeds to throw down the hammer on him.
