For the last three years, December has brought us a Jordan XI releases and 2011 is no different. After the Breds in ’08, the Space Jams in ’09, and last years’ Cool Grey release, there was much speculation on if Jordan Brand would continue the trend they started. When talk of the possible colorways began around the web, the Columbia XIs was highly favored and were almost expected to drop but that talk was quickly silenced when samples surfaced with the Air Jordan 11 wearing the White/Dark Concord-Black colorcode.
Since the Bred XIs came as part of the Countdown Package series, they are the only classic Jordan XI that didn’t come with the special packaging. I say “classic” Jordan XI because the all-white Anniversary XIs did drop in the middle of the summer back in 2010. This pair will also follow suite as far as packaging in the form of a white Jordan XI drawer-type box that a lot more sneakers have been getting lately with a similar, if not the exact same, transparent insert that came with the Space Jam box.
The Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ is scheduled to hit stores just in time for Christmas on December 23 but Jordan Brand has been notorious with changing the date in December so check back often we’ll have the latest as we’ll be following this shoe until release.
