A few years ago, Brandon Jennings was the first basketball player signed to Under Armour and had his first signature sneaker launch last year. We can now add Kemba Walker to the list of basketball playing, Under Armour wearing NBAers.
Under Armour has signed Kemba Walker, who the Charlotte Bobcats selected with the ninth-overall pick in last month’s NBA Draft, to a multiyear endorsement deal.
The move is the Baltimore sportswear maker’s latest push to grow its basketball line. Terms of the deal with Walker were not disclosed.
Walker led the University of Connecticut to this year’s NCAA National Championship, and the point guard was named Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.
Walker will wear Under Armour footwear for training and during games. He will join Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings in upcoming marketing campaigns promoting Under Armour’s basketball products.
