….I don’t think so
In the past month I have heard Reggie Miller and Scottie Pippen say the Lakers will either win 70 games or have a chance to win 70 games. Well I am here to refute that claim and my top reason why I think it is silly both former players think they Lakers have a chance is the NBA is stacked this season.
The Association is in the best shape since MJ retired and although it took over a decade both conferences have teams that can handle the Lakers. Both conferences are loaded with talent and if the Lakers had a chance to win 70 games, they would be the clear favorite to win it all.
That is not the case at all, as there are five, possibly six teams if Shaq does anything positive, that have a legitimate chance of winning the NBA title. I am not sure the Lakers are the runaway favorites to win their own conference!
70 wins?! Child please.
The Lakers might win their division by 20 games this season and between the other four teams in the Pacific (PHX, GSW, SAC, LAC), they will beat the Lakers at least four times.
Wow, what a horrible division.
In the Northwest division, Denver and Portland will “Beat LA” twice each and the rest of the division (MIN, UTA, OKC) will beat them at least two times combined.
That makes ten losses in two divisions and I have not mentioned San Antonio, Dallas, New Orleans, Orlando, Boston, Cleveland, and Toronto.
70 wins?! LOL.
Maybe 65.
