The Toronto media has just started reporting that a deal between the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers is currently being finalized which would see the Raptors send sharpshooter Jason Kapono to Philly in exchange for the power forward Reggie Evans. More details to come on this, but it is said that no picks are involved in the trade. As we close in on the NBA draft that is important to note. I wrote here at The Hoops Doctors about how much I liked the hire of Eddie Jordan. But for his particular offense to work well it requires a 3 point shooting threat. Jason Kapono a two time winner of the 3 point shoot out and a solid shooter in his NBA career fits the bill nicely. The Raptors G.M Bryan Colangelo said that his team must get tougher. Reggie Evans fits the bill to a ‘T’. It is rare that a trade in the division makes sense for both teams. However in this case it makes sense for both teams and will fit their current needs. So let the NBA off-season trade winds begin even though the Finals are not yet complete.
