Top 10 Players to Watch in the Upcoming 2024 College Basketball Season

As the NCAA season is gearing up, we’ve analyzed the likely rosters from every college to give you an insight into who to watch next season. Check our list for the best prospects for the 2024/25 NCAA basketball season.

10. R.J. Davis

Davis is the elder statesman of the NCAA in the 2024/24 season after being granted eligibility due to the 2020/21 season being cut short. However, he’s been a consistent performer and will regularly be a popular player on college basketball lines.

9. Johni Broome

Broome is becoming a deadly 3-point shooter, and excitement levels increase whenever he gets the ball. Expect him to make even more waves this season, as he will feel like it’s time to enter the draft at 22.

8. Hunter Sallis

Sallis is an exciting prospect. He’s transferred down a level from Gonzaga to Wake Forest, but he’s hoping being a big fish in a small pond will help him to stand out. He has undoubted ability, with above 50% as a 3-point shooting percentage.

7. Dylan Harper

Dylan Harper is a freshman at Rutgers. Despite being new to the NCAA this season, he’s widely regarded as a five-star recruit. He comes from a basketball family, with his father and elder brother playing in the NBA and his mother being an assistant coach at his high school.

6. Mark Sears

Sears will be looking for this to be a big season for him. After declaring for the draft last season and not being picked up, it’s almost a last-chance saloon to make the NBA.

5. Shaqir O’Neal

What more is there to say about this choice than he’s Shaq’s son? Like Bronny James last year, expect Shaqir to work hard to escape under his famous father’s shadow.

4. Hunter Dickinson

Dickinson has committed to play for the Kansas Jayhawks for the 2024/25 season. Like other players on our list, he’s hoping this will be his year to make the draft. Dickinson stands at 7’2, so he has the physical attributes required.

3. Caleb Love

Most people expected Love to go through the NBA draft in 2024 and become a pro player. However, in May, he announced that he was sticking with college ball. Expect him to have an impressive season, potentially leading to taking the draft next summer.

2. Hansel Enmanuel

Enmanuel is the most interesting player on this list by a mile. After a childhood accident that saw him lose his arm, he’s been able to play minutes in college games through sheer hard work. While he’s unlikely to make the NBA, it’s still exciting every time Enmanuel plays.

1. Cooper Flagg

Flagg will turn 18 just as the NCAA season starts, but he already has the most hype of any player in the league. After impressing in a scrimmage against Team USA in Olympics prep, many expect just a single college season for this young man.
