See What Dwight Howard Keeps In His Bag

February 14, 2012 – Ben Berry

Just like Josh Smith and Derek Fisher before him, Dwight Howard is next up in the What’s in the Bag series from adidas.

Along with the new adiPower Howard II, the three-time NBA defensive Player of the Year walks us thru some of the items that he keeps in his back such as a chess set, iPod boombox, hairbrush, and

First glance at his bag one might forget that D Howard is a basketball player but the video reminds anyone who might’ve forget by putting on display his adidas Basketball gear is like his TechFit Powerweb sleeve, adidas compression top, miCoach, and a bottle of Gatorade.

The relationship between adidas and Japanese lifestyle brand Y-3 seems to still be going strong if Dwight Howard is swagging around with a special Y-3 duffle bag with a basketball-like lining inside.

What’s In Derek Fisher’s Bag?

January 30, 2012 – Ben Berry

adidas resurrects their What’s in the Bag series calling upon veteran LA Lakers PG Derek Fisher to be the latest Stripes player to display the contents of his backpack.

At first glance the differences between this and its higher counterpart might seem minute and with good reason because the Crazy Light Low is almost identical to its higher counterpart that debuted during the ’10 – ’11 NBA Playoffs last year. The adiZero Crazy Light Low by adidas is almost half an ounce lighter than the original but still is constructed with the Sprintframe for support and Sprintweb technology to make the shoe so light and breathable.

Among the other contents of Fisher’s bag are his autobiography (which he is currently transcribing onto paperback), shorts, headphones, iPad, & two cell phones.

You can be just like the NBPA president by picking up a pair of the adiZero Crazy Light Lows when they drop on February 1st.

Sneak-a-Peek: LeBron 9 – ‘Big Bang’

January 12, 2012 – Ben Berry

LeBron James goes out of this world with new space-themed sneaker.

Looking at these and the supposed All-Star Zoom Kobe VII, you can tell that this year Nike isn’t just going with the traditional east-wears-blue/west-wears-red we’re used to seeing.

Reflective 3M materials are used on the branding and lace tabs seen on the sides of the sneakers. Keeping up with the space theme, the insole of the ‘Big Bang’ LeBron 9 supposedly draws its inspiration from the Milky Way.

Sneak-A-Peek: Nike Kobe VII – ‘All-Star’

January 10, 2012 – Ben Berry

The stars collide on Kobe Bryant’s feet this All-Star Weekend.

Already given “Big Bang” or “Galaxy” as a nickname, this edition will actually be the All-Star version of the Kobe VII by Nike. The known features on this sneaker read like a shopping list with a celestial design seen on the outside and sockliner, Flywire, space-inspired Kobe patches on the heel, and glow in the dark soles. Also included with this pair are the Attack Fast inserts with the inside of the tongue that matches the intergalactic imagery seen all over the shoe.

The fact that this sneaker bears so much resemblance to the ‘Tie Die’ Foamposite set to drop later this year makes me wonder who will lace those up down in Orlando this February for All-Star Weekend.

Which sneakers are you looking forward to seeing bear an “All-Star” colorway? Let us know in the comment box below.
