Nike LeBron 9 – ‘Employee of the Month’
LeBron James has been awarded the Most Valuable Player award for the
Following in form like a lot of other LeBron 9s, this MVP edition featured a speckled midsole in the colors of white and red. A red-to-black gradient is used from the outside in on the Flywire panels with black making up the mesh seen on the outer. The insoles highlight the other two MVP awards LBJ has won throughout his career so far and I wouldn’t be surprised if there are more to come. This pair hooks up perfect with all the Miami Heat apparel anyone could possible have.
If LeBron James were to capture the NBA Finals MVP award as well, I’d be willing to bet that the LeBron 9 Elite would be the model of choice used on a commemorative sneaker. Where do you think this edition would’ve ranked on our list of the 9 best LeBron 9 colorways? Let us know in the comment box below.

Nike Foamposite One – ‘Spike Lee Game 4′

With the Foamposite One at the height of its popularity, I’m surprised that we haven’t seen very many one-off pairs…unless you count the exclusives worn by Penny Hardaway.
Spike Lee’s ‘Game 4′ Foamposite One features an orange upper with a bright blue along the eyestay, mesh, and laces. Just like the Spizike, the heels feature a Mars Blackmon icon and logo for Lee’s film company 40 Acres & Mule. Both Nike and Jordan Brand have switched the compound they make their clear bottoms from to prevent yellowing which is why they have a slight blue tint. As it happens, the tinted icey soles keep in uniform with this colorway.
Many outlets are reporting that Spike will rock these during Game 4, court side no doubt, at Madison Square Garden this Sunday.
Even though Spike Lee will forever be related to the Air Jordan IV, there is no doubt that this is a Knicks-related sneaker unlike the Jordan 4s dropping next weekend.

adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2 – ‘Electricity’

A neon green wrapped updated triple-layer SprintWeb upper of with an entirely blacked out midsole except for a panel underneath the heel colored white like the stripes above it makes up the ‘Electricity’ Crazy Light 2 by adidas. The midsole has been modified from the original Crazy Light so it could play house to a bigger asymmetrical Sprintframe which is suppose to contribute to keeping the sneaker’s weight down while returning the most energy and increasing motion control.
Unlike the ‘Bred’ Crazy Light 2 shown yesterday, the adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2 – ‘Electricity’ had a little hype behind it already since it first got attention via a Baylor game during their NCAA tournament run this year and was again showcased on the feet of all 2012 McDonalds All-American Game participants.
Since March, one of the most anticipated releases of the year in the basketball world has been these ‘Electricity’ adiZero Crazy Light 2s. The other three colors dropping on launch date haven’t been announced yet but expect more simple blocking and hopefully more scholastic colorways like the pair worn by players from schools like Kansas or a Indiana University edition.

adidas drops the ‘Electricity’ Crazy Light 2 on May 24th for $140, the same day as the ‘Bred’ and three other pairs yet to be announced so check our Kicks section for all upcoming info.
Nike Hyperdunk – ‘Blake Griffin Galaxy PE’ Will Be Released In Stores

Blake Griffin spearheaded the Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 movement during the 2011 All-Star Weekend by jumping over a Kia to win the Slam Dunk Contest in his first Hyperdunk 2011 PE, so it’s only right that Nike continues the tradition. Read more
Under Armour Bloodline – ‘Brandon Jennings All-Star PE’

#AreYouFromHere
The UA Basketball team has been having a up-and-down NBA season to say the least. With Brandon Jennings at the point, Under Armour hand-picked the players they added to their roster as if they were forming an elite team of the top NBA prospects. During the extended off-season Under Armour’s basketball division made one of the greatest product pushes the footwear industry has ever seen while their players provided a great viewing platform for the sneakers by way of various summer and exhibition games.
Despite all the preparation and training, Brandon Jennings didn’t make the All-Star reserve list but instead of taking the trip down to Orlando, he spent the weekend working out in hopes that he could secure a spot on the East squad next year.
Always prepared however, Under Armour created an All-Star colorway of the popular Micro G Bloodline. Instead of some intricate pattern or roadmap seen on other Micro G Bloodline pairs, this edition is a little more personal featuring some of Jennings favorite tattoos along the 3M strap. With a dark blue upper and lighter blue midsole, this Bloodline would have coincided perfectly with the East uniforms from the All-Star Game this past year.
The Under Armour Micro G Bloodline – ‘All-Star’ is added to the exceedingly long list of Bloodline colorways that are exclusive to UA Basketball athletes and will not be available in stores.

Li-Ning Yu Shuai VII – ‘Canadian Forces’

Back in December we told you about the Toronto Raptors plan to debut special camouflage uniforms in honor of Canadian Forces Night and with further plans to wear them several more times this season, players are given the chance to get creative as far as footwear choices go.
Li-Ning player Jose Calderon used this opportunity to debut a new colorway of the Yu Shaui VII shoe; a sneaker that he’s worn a lot of the season. Dubbed the ‘Canadian Forces’, this pair boasts a white upper with a digital camo print featuring his number hidden in the digital camo on the inside of both sneakers. Upon further inspection of the sneaker you will find a vented 3M mesh windows on each sneaker and a tongue icon in the likeness of Calderon.
So far this is a Player Exclusive and Li-Ning has not scheduled the ‘Canadian Forces’ Li-Ning Yu Shuai VII for release.

Air Jordan VII – ‘Ray Allen PE’
There was a time when coming across player exclusive sneakers meant that you knew someone close enough to the player to get the shoes off their feet. It would be apparent who the pair belonged to and you wouldn’t be able to wear them unless you shared a shoe size with that athlete.
Since the Jordan Era-Bulls, it wouldn’t be uncommon to see other players rock special colorways of the Air Jordan or Retro Jordan that was in circulation at the time. One player who never was given his own signature sneaker but was the definition of a Jordan Brand player is Ray Allen. Back in 2002 when the Air Jordan VII was first given the retro treatment, these were constructed for Sugar Ray.
High quality black tumbled leather is used throughout the upper, with wing accents seeing a purple and white to make up the Bucks-inspired colorway. Allen’s then number (34) is seen on the inside ankle wings instead of replacing the “23″ seen on the back of all Jordan VIIs; Olympic VIIs excluded.
The pair pictured is size 14 (Ray Allen’s size), deadstock, and available for purchase on eBay here.

Nike Zoom KD IV – ‘Elite Youth Basketball League’ Pack

Kevin Durant shows Trick isn’t the only one who loves the kids.
The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League is made up of abut 40 of the best traveling basketball teams ages 17 and younger all brought together to play against each other at three separate events. When the league is all said and done, the top 24 teams play in a championship tournament in July on-top of being granted a Nike sponsorship for the next year.
After last year’s EYBL Hyperfuse Low, the silhouette of choice this year is popular Zoom KD IV. Seen here in red, blue, and a black/grey colorway, these will be the pairs the teams will lace up this year.
Rumor is there is another colorway of the ‘EYBL’ Zoom KD IV not pictured but that very well could just be a rumor or have been a typo.

Nike Hyperfuse 2011 Low – Jeremy Lin Rising Stars PE’
Though some might say that Linsanity has tapered away into nothing in the last few weeks but with the emergence of Woodson as the “golden headcoach”, who is still undefeated, that ensures that we haven’t seen the last of Jeremy Lin this season. Even though the New York Knicks’ playoff spot has yet to be secured, the word on the Kix-Files Facebook page is that the same PE worn by Lin during the 2012 Rising Stars Challenge was will hit retailers in April.
The initials “J.L” and “SOPH” are seen on the mission patch representing Jeremy Lin and his spot as a Sophmore during the this years hybrid Rookie/Sophmore game. The blue upper with the orange branding lined up with the East uniforms during All-Star Weekend but are right at home when worn with a Knicks jersey.
Even though this bears a patch similar to the ones all the sneakers from Nike’s Galaxy pack did, this 2011 Hyperdunk Low PE is credited as being apart of the sneaker set seen by Nike-sponsored players who participated in the 2012 Rising Stars Challenge.
No word yet on if the sneakers will come packaged with orange laces like the ones Lin wore during the Rising Stars Challenge.

adidas adiPower Howard II – ‘Hardwood Heather’

When signature sneakers are made for players, samples and 1-of-1s are commonly given to the player who the kicks are made for. For some (myself not included), basketball sneakers aren’t casual-wearing material so to remedy that adidas made this one-off especially for Dwight Howard.
As the story goes, the ‘Hardwood Heather’ adiPower Howard II was constructed for Dwight Howard to wear around Orlando during the 2012 All-Star Weekend. Black denim, heather wool, and High Energy (orange) accents are seen on this pair along with all the standard adiPower Howard II traits such as the oversized adidas stripes, non-marking rubber sole, and miCoach compatibility are all present. Aside from Howard’s signature on the heel, no other DH branding are on this sneaker.
This pair was made in conjunction with a adiZero Rose 2.5 with the same name.
