Video: Wade Yells at Spoelstra on Miami’s Bench

While the headlines following Game 2 were all about LeBron James, D-Wade deserves as much blame for the Game 3 loss. Wade struggled all game long, totaling only 5 points. During the game, frustration hit a boiling point when Wade got into it with Erik Spoelstra on the bench. This doesn’t look like it will end well for Miami:

Harden Gets His Payback on Artest

Although this was obviously a completely inadvertent elbow from James Harden on Ron Artest last night, Karma is a bi@$h. Harden not only shakes Artest on the drive, but gives him the business end of the bow on the way past. I wish I could say I felt sorry for Ron on this one.

THD Video: First Round Highlights

In the first round we saw some dominating performances by the Thunder and Spurs, but we also saw some clutch performances in the tightly fought Game 7 battles by the Lakers and Clippers. Either way there were highlights galore. Fans were treated to an amazing opening round of action, which they deserved after the lockout shortened season. THD Video: Team of the Week – OKC Thunder

With the end of the first round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs in sight, the OKC Thunder are at home waiting for their next opponent. The Thunder not only had the large task of playing the defending champions in the opening round, but they won the series in style with four straight victories. Don’t get me wrong the Mavericks this year were a shade of their former champion selves, but sweeping any team with Nowitzki, Kidd, Terry, and company is no easy task. Video: 6’1″ Eric Bledsoe Blocks 6’10″ Marreese Speights

During last night’s Clippers OT win, Blake Griffin threw down a bevy of alley-oops from Chris Paul and Mo Williams. I have to admit many of them were spectacular, but when focusing so much on what Griffin was going to do next, you may have missed this highlight block of the game from Eric Bledsoe. That’s right, little 6’1″ Eric Bledsoe, not only blocked a guy huge, but the kicker is that guy was 6’10″ tall Marreese Speights. And of course feel free to watch Mo Williams and Blake Griffin connect for the huge finish right after. Bledsoe gets up!!

Josh Smith Misses Wide Open Dunk

I realize no one is perfect, and that even NBA players miss easy shots sometimes. But if you are a coach, you have to be pulling your hair out with plays like this. The Atlanta Hawks are playing a depleted Boston Celtics team, and after winning Game 1 of the series, you have a chance to put your foot firmly over the throats of the Celtics.

Instead of making the easy play, early in the first quarter on a breakaway dunk/layup attempt, high flying Josh Smith decides to get fancy and do a pump reverse dunk. In typical sprite commercial fashion Josh Smith blows the dunk off the rim. Someone needs to remind J-Smoove that this is the playoffs. Make or break time, and no place for showboating.
