A question my buddies and I often ask eachother, as i’m sure you have asked your fellow hoop heads from time to time, is “if you could pick 5 players of all-time to make up your perfect starting lineup in the NBA, who would they be?” It is a lot harder than it sounds. We are talking all-time, and you can only select one player per position!

Well that question was posed to Lebron James recently, and you may be surprised at his answers. I know it’s very tough to choose Lebron, but no Bill Russell??? Kareem is definitely one of the all-time greats, but there is no way you can leave out the most decorated champion of all-time in NBA history!

My all-time greatest starting line-up (considering that each player is at their prime): Magic Johnson at the 1, Michael Jordan at the 2, Larry Bird at the 3, Bill Russell at the 4, and Shaquille O’Neal at the 5.

I saw this video floating around on the net last week on the 13th anniversary of Chris Wallace’s (aka Notorious BIG, Biggie Smalls) shooting death, and thought all of you may enjoy it as much as I did. The video is raw, but it showcases a then 17 year old Biggie on the corner of Fulton Avenue in Brooklyn freestyling. The video shows Biggie long before his East Coast-West Coast feud, long before his rise to fame, and long before his first and most influential album Ready to Die was released.

News is breaking that Miami Heat guard Dorell Wright was stopped last night for erratic driving of his Bentley in Miami and was subsequently charged today with DUI. Details have yet to be released, but inevitably he will be facing some fine or penalty from David Stern and the league. Here is what NBA.com had on the incident this afternoon:

Miami Beach police say Heat forward Dorell Wright has been charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license.

Wright was stopped around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, then booked. Bond was set at $1,000, according to Miami-Dade County corrections officials.

The team did not have an immediate comment, and Wright did not return a message left on his cell phone Thursday afternoon.

Wright is averaging 6.3 points in 57 games this season for the Heat. The team was off Thursday and hosts the Chicago Bulls on Friday night. {NBA.com}
